Visiting the Baraka Khan Visitor Gallery

A welcoming, shoes-on visitor gallery open to people of all faiths and none

A place to meet, learn and reflect

Baraka Khan Visitor Gallery (BKVG) is located on the first floor of East London Mosque. The BKVG is a unique space for welcoming visitors, with a perfect view of the main prayer hall, and facilities to present Islam and dispel misconceptions. It has enabled the East London Mosque to offer a better visitor experience. Combined with exhibitions and courses, it has raised levels of delivery and professionalism.

The purpose of the BKVG is to improve visitor experiences, create exhibitions on Islam and the common religious heritage of the Abrahamic faiths, promote awareness of Islam and multi-faith dialogue and support community engagement projects.

Funeral & Bereavement Observation Gallery

The East London Mosque is home to Haji Taslim Funerals—London’s longest running Muslim funeral service since 1960. They can advise on all aspects of funeral and burial arrangements.

The BKVG provides a reflective space overlooking the main prayer hall, for bereaving families to observe the Janazah (funeral) prayers.
